Art Activism & Pandemic

How has this Crisis allowed you to reflect on activism in a new way  ?

The Spread of Corona virus Has been part of an Climate Change Crisis . The Speed and scope of Corona virus has been taken a toll on our World governments and has left the stock market reeling . The interconnected of our globalized world facilitated the spread of Corona virus 19 . This Pandemic has Forced governments into a difficult balancing act. Ensuring public safety well being and maintaining profit margin and growth target . The growth number of mass production there are a massive number of livestock and poultry. The CDC  had estimated three out of four infectious diseases that comes from human animal contact. The origin of this virus it has a perfect example in how the way of capitalism commodifies life to turn it into a profit can directly endanger human life.  In this sense , the  ongoing pandemic is the product of unrestrained capitalist production and other consumption patterns . And it is a part of the deleterious environmental changes it is causing . The Failure to contain it is due to our capitalist drive of global economy.

Choose 2-3 Artists of artists collectives that inspired or feel connected to your project That help you Reflect on the Current Crisis ?

How does this artists used their artwork feel connected and helpful to the present?

Artists are able to spread their views , Political opinions and how it had made other people feel connected . During these difficult times we are going through this Pandemic how it has made me felt determined to see other famous people art work . And how the corona virus is a very global pandemic message . To see other artists put their outspoken viewpoints and image portraits out there . It will take a long time until this virus goes away and we will unite each other as one nation and one country we hold each other hand in hand during those hard times we are facing.

How have the  artists used their artwork to create advocacy , critique and awareness ?
What is the message ?

The artists have used their artwork to spread their advocacy to show their voices and messages are being heard from other people . And how their critique shows how other people that paint or perform art can show their techniques of their critiques in how other people show their abilities against each other political views and issues . How they tend to socialize towards other people's opinions and  How their artist For example, such as Daniel Weil who has explained about life is in my shoes . The body and soul of people are in their shoes. And other experiences of other different youth.

How Does the Work address an Audience ?

One of the most important aspects of connecting to art to an audience . Which we allow you to understand their reactions ,wants and needs . Since the audience are constantly changing . It is a great idea to feel connected and to stay connected with the audience . Audience stay informed and connected to one another . They are being more open- minded and also their concentration on their work . Being persistent and determined . Artists has engage audience in other different ways such as opening up the process of creation to others they can give up their measure towards their control.  And to trust in other viewers participant and in the way of art. It become a two way exchange.  The view of the audience shows that the artist work was being view upon by communicating their ideas , concept and other experience.

Describe the artists and artwork and why it inspires you ?

Artists have influenced me by their point of views by addressing and showing their relationship in their own practical work through similar subject matter . How a critical analysis from other artists show their beliefs, opinions and their activism viewpoints and have a good understanding of their work which can help develop other captivity in other techniques the artists creative choices about how social influences in other artists cultural influence .   How their natural and construction environment and how their observe their feelings and imagination . How an artist named Laura Chapman has expressing her own ordinary experiences.

How does these Works inspire you project and your own Journey through this Pandemic ?

The Corona Virus outbreak has been affecting and being an impact on other people's daily lives . Into how we are having an connection by staying six feet from others and the most important thing is  Social distancing . The Corona Virus has disrupted other high school students and other Public schools around New Jersey are becoming more affected by this pandemic . This Corona Virus has changed the way we work , play and learn . Many schools are closed multiple Sports leagues have been canceled . And many people were being asked from their employers that they should work from home . The Trump administration had been putting out new guidelines in slow the spread of the corona virus to slow the spread of the corona virus , involving all of the school closures and to avoid large gatherings of bars and restaurants . Social distancing means you should not be to close to the person that is of front of you . That you should remain six feet from others in case that person is coughing or sneezing . You should avoid taking transportation such as bus and trains . And most importantly social gatherings . Many people are stock on their groceries as they continue to stay home . There are numerous ways of possible future on how government in society and its economic aftermath. I am hoping and praying to god every day that this virus will diminish and that the american economy can go back to normal. We are all in this together as a nation and as a Country. How might our economic future develop?

Two quotes connecting to your analysis on the Pandemic

  • "In Australia, Andy Miao, 24, an ethnic Chinese Australian who returned this month from a trip to China, said that passengers on public transport gave him odd looks if he was not wearing a face mask. “It makes people like me who are very, very Australian feel like outsiders,” Mr. Miao said. “It’s definitely invoking a lot of past racial stereotypes.”

  • “I think people are acting out their frustrations and their racism and their stereotypes and prejudices, [and] that the floodgates are lifted when situations like this arise,” said Paul Wannabe, a political science professor and director of the Institute for Asian American Studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston."
